SEMIEXPO Russia 2018 hosted in the fifth season of the contest “Innovative Radioelectronics”

SEMIEXPO Russia , the leading forum of the industry of microelectronics and semiconductors in Russia, organized a special exhibition area for the participants of the fifth season of the contest “Innovative Radioelectronics” – Science & Technology ARENA space. The event is organized within the framework of one of the stages of the fifth season – experts’ assessments will not be explicitly taken into account in the selection process, but comments will somehow influence the life cycle of projects in the competition.

During the days of the forum – on 29 and 30 May – thirteen teams from all over Russia presented innovative projects in the field of robotics, 3D modeling, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data transmission technologies to the guests and the expert committee. Within the framework of the poster defense and the PitchDeck session, the participants were able to communicate with representatives of science, business and venture funds, to get an up-to-date assessment of their developments and recommendations on bringing the project to the market. The final evaluation of the project consisted of five criteria: the scientific novelty and relevance of the project, the social and economic efficiency and investment attractiveness, the possibility of implementation, the validity and reliability of the data presented, and the presentation’s presentation.

The expert commission included representatives of Future Horizons, Tokyo Electron Venture Capital, JSC “ZNTs”, VEB-Innovations and NIIMA “Progress”. This year the forum became a platform for unhindered communication between developers, investors and industry representatives from 9 countries: Belgium, Belarus, Germany, the Netherlands, Singapore, the USA, the Czech Republic, France and Russia.
