The head of state highlited the necessity  of own developments and serial production of microelectronics at a meeting in the Kremlin.

As the media reported, Vladimir Putin called microelectronics the pledge of technical and technological independence of the country and the basis for innovative development of the domestic economy. Today, according to the president, there are 55 design centers in the country that design microelectronics, but their share in the domestic market is only about 12%.

To develop the electronic and electronic industry, the state has already allocated over 62 billion rubles. from the budget and attracted more than 35 billion rubles of extrabudgetary funds.

“This increased the competitiveness of the industry and allowed to increase the volume of output of radio electronics 3.5 times,” – quotes the head of state “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”.

Meanwhile, the president is convinced that for an even more effective development of microelectronics it is necessary to develop an integrated long-term strategy and plan with concrete measures. At the same time, the industry needs the formation of a national competence center, which would set the vectors for the development of Russian microelectronics.
